Punjab appoint supervisors for evaluation of ITI’s

Chandigarh: The Technical Education Department of thePunjabgovernment today has appointed Special Supervisors for the evaluation and up gradation of training standard in all private and government ITIs of the state.

          Disclosing this here today Mr. Anil Joshi, Technical Education and Industrial Training Minister,Punjabsaid that the department has appointed 12 officers for the supervision of government ITIs and 30 field officers for private ITIs.

          He further said that it has been noticed that some affiliated institutions have shifted their campus to another place. These institutions have been issuing the certificates to those students who had not attended the classes. The certificates are being issued only on the basis of proxy attendance. Mr. Joshi said that it has also been noticed that due to the paucity of staff in these institutions students faces much difficulty to pursue their courses.

          He said that the department has now decided to monitor and evaluate the working of these institutions.  In this regard strict instructions have been issued to all institutions to upscale their academic atmosphere.
