This is the premise of Zoya Akhtar’s upcoming entertainer, Dil Dhadakne Do, which is touted to be one of the biggest films of the year. Starring a star studded ensemble cast including Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Farhan Akhtar, Anil Kapoor and Shefali Shah, the film’s trailer release is one of the most anticipated event this summer.
And the wait is over as at last the trailer which faces enormous expectations of millions of fans is out. So hold on to your hats as I tell you if the DDD trailer is really worth the hype:
OMG! What a trailer! Mind blowing! Awesome! Phew, now that I have got fanboy feeling out of my system, lets talk about the trailer. The story revolves around the Mehras who are trying hard to prove the world that they are a picture perfect family, but are actually a dysfunctional family. Kamal Mehra wants his son Kabir to marry to the girl of his choice, but Kabir falls for Farah, a free bird. Kamal and Neelam want their daughter Ayesha to stay married but she wants to reconcile with her old love Sunny. Kamal and Neelam are not happy with each other too. Will the Mehras sort out their issues and save their family from being torn into pieces? The highlight of the trailer is sister-brother relationship between Priyanka and Ranveer. Anil Kapoor is awesome as the patriarch of Mehra family while Shefali Shah is incredible as the mother hen of the family. Farhan Akthar and Anushka Sharma have played their parts well, but being an outsider in the family the focus is not on them. Priyanka Chopra looks like a powerhouse of performance as she portrays the role of unhappy married woman to perfection. But it is Ranveer Singh who makes great impact with his cute, moving youngest kid in the family act.
