Sudhakar Bokade, who made hits like Saajan, Prahaar and Izzatdaar, left his
heavenly abode at the age of 57 years. The reason was a heart attack on Sunday,
July 7. He was admitted at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Andheri,
Mumbai.
His daughter Divya said, “Sudhakar Bokade was hospitalized two days ago on July
6 due to a major heart attack. He could not recover and passed away the previous
night i.e. July 7.”
“…Sudhakar Bokade ji was setting up shoots in Fiji, Malaysia. Life is a bitch. RIP,”
said actor Kamaal R Khan.
Bokade produced famous films with actors such as Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit,
Sanjay Dutt, Nana Patekar and many more. His other hits include Sapne Saajan
Ke, Kalinga, Dhanwaan and Yeh Pyaar Hi Toh Hai.
Bokade was on the making of a film with Rajeev Khandelwal, being directed by
Kajal Naskar. The greatest blockbuster Saajan was being remade by the director
Lawrence D’Souza.
Sudhakar’s funeral will be held in the afternoon. He left behind two daughters
Divya and Kiran and his son Krishna.
