The Honourable Gail Shea, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, currently leads the Canadian delegation at the Seafood Expo North America 2015. She is meeting with buyers, suppliers and exhibitors from across North America and overseas to demonstrate the Government of Canada’s vast efforts to build on existing markets and to introduce new markets for the country’s seafood products.
While touring the exhibit, Minister Shea visited the booth of Quebec’s Groupe Ferron and was delighted to learn, first hand, how such seafood businesses benefit from favourable conditions in Canada to compete internationally. During the expo, Groupe Ferron will officially launch their salmon sausages and burgers (four and three flavours, respectively) and their succulent salmon torte will be on full display as well.
“All our cooks and managers, as well as the entire Ferron Family, are proud of the success that our "Passion of the Sea" products known to Quebec consumers and that, by their great qualities, can now end up in other Canadian provinces and throughout the United States. We thank our business partners and customers for the trust and support they have shown us since the official launch of our “Ready to Cook” range of fish and seafood products in May 2013."
