News state that Prachi Desai has been roped in to enact the first wife of the former Indian captain, Mohammad Azharuddin’s upcoming biopic film. Prachi was last seen in the film ‘Ek Villain’ performing an item song ‘Awari’.
Prachi spoke about her role and said that she will be playing a Muslim woman for the second time and become a face to a young and innocent character that has never been revealed or talked about. Prachi also revealed the name of Azhar’s first wife, which is Naureen, and she will be soon meeting her.
Prachi also said that she had not followed Azharuddin’s cricket or his political career until she read the script. She furthermore said that except for Emraan Hashmi and herself, no one has signed the film yet, as there were rumors which stated that Kareena Kapoor Khan would be playing Sangeeta Bijlani’s character in the biopic.
