Upcoming film ‘Humari Adhuri Kahani’ is written by Mahesh Bhatt and it casts Vidya Balan, Emraan Hashmi and Rajkummar Rao. It is said that Vidya’s character in the film is inspired from Mahesh Bhatt’s real life mother, Shirin.
Shirin was not her husband, Nanabhai Bhatt’s legally wedded wife. Mahesh Bhatt said that is the reality and that she was a beautiful single woman, a single parent living in a man’s world which was one hell of a perilous journey. It was only her courage; dignity and strength that kept her going and all these are the characteristics which will form Vidya’s character.
