Some few months back, Shweta Basu was imprisoned for supposedly being a part of a prostitution racket. Now, it is said that she is back to work and has started working as a script consultant.
She is working as a curator in Phantom productions, designated with a task of going through potentially capable scripts. She believes that is the right job for her which would help her to grow as an actor while she gets opportunities to read scripts.
The Phantom production is owned by Madhu Mantena, Anurag Kasghyap, Vikas Bahl and Vikramaditya Motwane. There was news that stated that Hansal Mehta was going to sign Shweta for a documentary titled as ‘Roots’ which is about Hindustani classical music. Mr. Mehta confirmed the news and said that he had previously seen Shweta’s Indian classical music documentary which was very impressive. He hasn’t yet decided the venture but he will certainly consider working with her.
