Farah Khan’s Happy New Year raked in Rs 108.86 crore in its opening weekend and became the fastest film to enter the coveted Rs 100 crore club. And now the film starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah, is inching towards the Rs 200 crore mark at the domestic box office.
Along with the domestic box office, the film is doing exceptionally well in the international markets as well. As per the latest update, HNY has collected more than US$ 13 million in first 10 days from its release in the international markets.
The film is set to become the biggest grosser of 2014 in overseas. It has the highest opening weekend in Gulf, South Africa, Thailand, Hong Kong and Germany. It has a highest opening ever in Malaysia and many other countries across the globe.
