Farah Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’ had made a remarkable opening on its day one of release.
It collected a total of 44.97crs on its first day, which certainly is the highest first day collection that is recorded of all time. The film was released during Diwali which was followed by extreme positive responses in the first weekend as well, as it has already collected a total of 108.86crs.
Earlier it was ‘Dhoom 3’ which was praised as the biggest opener; nevertheless, ‘Happy New Year’ out-shined ‘Dhoom 3’s collection and recorded the highest opening as well the highest opening weekend ranker in the Indian cinema so far. Moreover, ‘Happy New Year’ has also redefined history as the first film to enter the fastest 100 crore league.
