The two newbies will be seen in Remo D’souza’s upcoming dance venture. Will they be the Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan of India? Read on…

The Step Up series in Hollywood was started by America’s sweethearts Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan. Dance brought the two together and the couple is now happily married with a baby girl named Everly. Their stint in Step Up became a sensational hit and was primary in institutionalizing a dance based genre of venture with the series comprising of Step Up 2: The streets, Step Up 3D, Step Up  Revolution, and the latest one being Step Up All In.

B-town’s newbies Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Dhawan are all set to showcase their dancing skills in Remo D’souza’s ABCD 2 which is a sequel to his previous film. Where his former venture didn’t comprise of lead actors, the director’s next will have greater magnanimity and glamour, courtesy its lead pair Shraddha and Varun. WithABCD 2 being a dance based film as well, comparisons are bound to be drawn with Step Up, not only in terms of the plot but the lead couple as well.

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan’s chemistry in Step Up was crucial in making their dance sequences steamy and appealing. Though Varun and Shraddha physically complement each other, it’s still to be gauged whether the two actors would succeed in living up to Channing and Jenna’s camaraderie. Further, we are well aware of Varun’s dancing talent but Shraddha hasn’t showcased much of it in the past except for her recent item number Dance Basanti, which technically is not a full fledged dance track per say.

With Jenna having created a remarkable impression through her suave moves in Step Up, we bet the same must have put a lot of pressure on Shraddha to overcome the comparison and driving the stakes in her favour
