Parineeti Chopra, along with her Kill Dil co-stars, Ranveer Singh and Ali Zafar came on Bigg Boss 8 on Sunday (November 2) to promote their film.
The trio entered the Bigg Boss house and had quite a fun time with the contestants.
After playing some games, they all decided to dance some Govinda numbers as he stars in the movie as well. Suddenly, we saw Parineeti accusing Ali Quli Mirza, who is one of the contestants this season of touching her inappropriately. A lot of tamashaa happened after this and Pari who was not in a mood to listen anything and proceeded to the confession room from where she quickly exited the show with her co-stars, leaving all the contestants confused.
However, it later turned out that all of this was a prank. But this prank got backfired as a certain section of viewers were disappointed with the makers of the show for making a joke out of an issue as serious as sexual harassment. And considering Parineeti, people weren’t expecting her to participate in a prank like this.
So when the Ishaqzaade actress was asked about this in an interview today, here’s what she said, “You know I have realised, especially after this that if you do anything it is 50-50. When you do something strong, people will applaud you for that. So some people said that this prank was too much, but it was really funny. Some people even messaged me that did he misbehaved or what happened. And there is certain section who said that you shouldn’t have done it. So everything that an actor does will be 50-50. Having said that my stance on this is that I know Ali from outside so if I had to play a prank on someone it had to be only him. I would not do it with anybody else because I know Ali.”
Pari also confessed that it was the idea of the makers and not hers.”Secondly it wasn’t our idea. It came from those who run the show. They know what works for them and what doesn’t. So when they come up to me and say listen we want you to pull a prank and Ranveer and Ali (Zafar) will have to be involved too, we were all like should we do or not, but they said trust us don’t worry we take care of it. In every reality show you’re given a script. You are told what you have to do so you have to go with the makers,” Chopra concluded by saying.
