iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus up for grabs in India

Apple Inc's latest smartphones, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, are now up for sale in India. The company has started selling the phone from midnight of October 16.

Apple has reportedly shipped 50,000-55,000 units of the smartphones, to ensure that stocks don't run out. This is the first time that the company is selling the phones from midnight, in a practice that it follows in other countries.

Retailers and authorised dealers of Apple delivered iPhones to customers who had pre-ordered them by making partial payments. The company is said to have received pre-orders for 21000 units as of October 14.

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are being sold through the company's distribution partners - Redington, Ingram Micro, Reliance and Rashi Peripherals.

16GB - Rs 53500
64GB - Rs 62500
128GB - Rs 71500
