Pooja Bhatt was off the big screen since her last appearance in ‘Everybody Says I’m Fine!’ which was released in the year, 2001.

After which she was on a lengthy break focusing on directing and producing films. 

There was news that the producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar of the film ‘Mr. Chaalu’ opted Tabu to be playing the Lady Sherlock Holmes, nevertheless, they later thought that Pooja would suite better for the role. 

Later Pooja confirmed and said that she received a message from Ritesh which queried, ‘Are you still acting?’ to which she replied back stating ‘Once an actor, always an actor.’ 

She further described her role which is about a no-nonsense woman detective which very well describes her real self. She said she will appear in the film before the interval and would stay right till the end. 

The film ‘Mr. Chaalu’ also stars Saif Ali Khan, Kangana Ranaut and Richa Chadda. The movie will be directed by Reema Kagti.
