Ever since the Ram Lakhan remake was announced there has been immense speculation on the casting of the film.
There have been several theories doing the rounds on who will reprise the roles of Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff from the original. Several names have been doing the rounds and we were the first ones to tell you that Ranbir Kapoor is in the running for playing the role of Lakhan in the film.
Now there is buzz that Deepika Padukone might be cast opposite him in the role played by Madhuri Dixit. Given the fact that Deepika is a favourite of both Rohit Shetty with who she has delivered a huge hit in Chennai Express and Karan Johar whose production house gave her Yeh Jawani Hai Deeewani. Even though no one is conforming or taking any names, there is serious talk that Deepika might just nab the role.
Apparently Rohit is more keen on her than Karan given the fact that he has a phenomenal rapport with her.
