Varun Dhawan, Sonam Kapoor, Gautum Rode welcome the monsoons

July 02, 2014 05:16 PM

Its raining and all we can think of is gorging on some good-old chai and pakodas.

Varun Dhawan

The Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania actor was at a college in Mumbai for a promotional event when he tweeted a selfie, rather Humphie with his fans. He added the #MumbaiRains tag to the same.

Sonam Kapoor

Probably curling up with her dog and sipping on some good coffee, Sonam was listening to her monsoon favourite by Miles Davis titled ‘Kinds of Blue’. She tweeted, “The rains in Bombay demand this kinda listening… Now for a hot cuppa” Ah! that’s the life!

Gautam Rode

The Saraswatichandra actor though a huge fan of the monsoon season was irked by the traffic jams it brought along. The actor tweeted, “Loving the beautiful monsoon weather in Mumbai today but the only sad thing is traffic…stuck in traffic as I head off to shoot….”  There there Gautam!

Kalki Koechlin

The actor popular for being a beauty with brains definitely likes the rain. She tweeted about her relaxed state of mind saying, “boy does the rain feel good…” It sure does Kalki!

Vir Das

The Amit Sahni Ki List actor with an unbeatable comic timing had a humourous response to the rain (no shocker) He tweeted, “Thinking of going for a walk in the rain. Where is that ridiculously thin white Pajama Kurta of mine? Hmmmm….” To this a friend of his tweeted, “Wear your chiffon sari instead” probably making a refence to his play wherein Vir cross-dresses as a woman and the actor replied, “Good point. Done” Don’t worry, we have our eyes peeled for spotting Vir strolling on this rainy day in a sari!

Ayushmann Khurrana

Not all the celebs were pleased about the monson. A mildly irked Ayushmann tweeted, “The constant rain of tweets about rain is more irritating than the real rain.” Now now Ayushman don’t be so grumpy!

Nikhil Chinapa

The Splitsvilla host who must have been thanking his stars for co-hosting the show with the sexy Sunny Leone might have thought that he has gotten yet another reason to be thankful for but soon realised that he spoke to soon. Initially pleased by the rain Chinapa tweeted “Oh hai monsoon!” but later ate his words with the tweet, “Spoke too soon. Extensive flooding across Khar. Khar Danda road is under water as are several lanes off Linking Road. @TrafflineMUM” We feel ya Nikhil.
