Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiiyaan has been in the making for the past six or seven years and once you watch this ‘making video’ you will understand as to why it took so long.

It is the first movie in India to use motion capture technology. It is also one of the most expensively made 3D film’s across the globe.

The making video shows properly how the film was made. People behind the camera explain as to how difficult it was to capture each facial expression. The actors tell about their experiences of acting and dancing with a face mask on. They also tell us as to how they felt while shooting as there was no one to be talking to and everything was shot one-on-one. Deepika explains the pains of dancing with such a big head gear on. Choreographer Saroj Khan and music composer AR Rahman explain about their pangs. And best of all the director, Soundarya Rajinikanth Ashwin, explains the pains of directing such a unique film, on such a grand scale, and why it consumed so much time.

So BollywoodLifers, go behind the scenes of Kochadaiiyaan with the cast and crew of the film and find out as to how magnum opus was made using motion capture technology.
