Health and Safety E-courses Accessible to Federal Public Servants

April 03, 2014 07:52 PM

HAMILTON, ON (April 3, 2014) –

The Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) and the Canada School of Public Service (the School) have partnered to provide online health and safety training courses to federal public servants.

The partnership will provide federal public servants throughout Canada with access to a wide variety of credible and relevant online health and safety courses. School clients who purchase a CCOHS e-course will receive access to CCOHS’ Learning Management System. This management system provides the opportunity for employers to track and confirm that their workers successfully completed the training, with detailed usage reports.

Use of online training among public servants has doubled in the last year, with an increasing number of public servants requiring learning opportunities anytime and from anywhere. The courses offered by CCOHS add to the School’s existing suite of online products, and are a cost-effective way to meet the health and safety training needs of organizations and federal employees.

CCOHS’ e-courses are unique in that they are developed by subject specialists in the field, and reviewed by representatives from labour, non-government employers and government to ensure the content and approach are unbiased, credible and technically accurate. There are quizzes throughout and a certificate of completion is issued upon passing the exam.

More information about CCOHS’ health and safety e-courses, pricing and how to register is available on both the CCOHS website and the School website.
