Looks like the old war between these two ladies is still going on.

That Madhuri Dixit-Nene and Juhi Chawla, who will share the screen space for the very first time in the upcoming film, Gulaab Gang, were once considered as arch rivals is a stale fact. Even Juhi confessed to it by saying that she considered Mrs Nene a competition in their times. In her interviews, the Bhootnath actor has said that the reason she and Madhuri probably did not work together was because there was lot of competition between female actors at that time. “I would say that earlier there were a few chances when we could have worked together, but at that time I didn’t do the film because Madhuri was there in the films. I thought if she is there, then what would I do? Comparisons were bound to happen, so to avoid all that tension, I didn’t do those films,” said Juhi in a recent interview.

Hovewer, Madhuri , who was a wee bit irritated with Juhi’s statements said that she never considered her Gulaab Gang co-star as a competition. “I never thought of her as my competitor. I never had any qualms about working with anyone. This is my thinking that we are actors not horses running towards one finish line. It is a creative field and we like certain roles and work with people we like. It is not that I have not worked in two-heroine projects earlier. I worked with Preity Zinta (Yeh Raaste Hain Pyaar Ke), Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (Devdas) and Karisma Kapoor (Dil To Pagal Hai),” the dhak dhak girl told in an interview recently. She even went on to say that if given a chance again, she would definitely like to work with Juhi again. “It is wonderful that we did a film together finally. She is a good actress. It is inspiring to see another good actress work with you. I think our scenes are very tight and I would definitely love to work with her again,” the Dedh Ishqiya actor added.

It is quite obvious from their statements that the war between these two ladies is still on. And we would love to believe Madhuri that all is fine between her and Juhi , but don’t we know that two heroines can’t be friends. Yes, there are some exceptions like Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, who are very good friends despite competing with each other, but Madhuri and Juhi are not friends and we know it.
