Punjab to e-auction 27 quarries in February

CHANDIGARH, The Punjab Government has all set to E-Auction the 27 quarries next month to ease out the supply of sand and crusher in the state. Disclosing this here today the spokesman of the Punjab government said that all these 27 quarries in the district of Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Ropar, Mohali and Patiala and Jalandhar to be E-auctioned on February 6 and 7, 2014.

 

He said that with the auction of these quarries, people of Punjab would get sand and crusher on very nominal rates as quarries has an area of 705.58 acre, which would produce huge quantity of these natural sources mainly used for construction. He said that industries and commerce minister, Punjab has ordered the department officials to auction these quarries in an honest and transparent manner so that the common man would be able to get sand and crusher in an easy way besides giving a big push to the development works across the state.

 

The spokesman further said that detailed information regarding E-auction could be downloaded from official website www.pbindustries.gov.inand anyone could avail this information from concerned general manager cum mining official at district industrial centre. He said that interested bidders could register at Punjab government official websitewww.etender.punjabgovt.gov.in.
