CHANDIGARH, The Punjab Local Government Minister Mr. Anil Joshi today issued strict instructions to the department to ensure specification board on all project sites to ensure quality control in the execution of works besides bring transparency in the project administration.

Disclosing this here today Mr. Anil Joshi said that this move is aimed at enabling the general public to know the specification like the material being used, design, costing and address and contact number of the contractors working on the particular development projects. The specification board must also carry the name and address of concerned XEN, SDO and JEs. He said that the written instructions in this regard have been issued.

Mr. Joshi expressed hope that this initiative would ensure the public participation in the government work. He said that the specification board would also enable the public to get the know-how of the particular development project. They could also lodge their apprehensions and complaints regarding the development project to his office.
