Badal rules out CBI investigations in Drug Smuggler Bhola's case

SAS NAGAR: Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today ruled out any possibility of CBI investigation in the case of Drug smuggler Bhola and said the state police was responsibly carrying out the investigation with due deliberation and utmost sincerity.

Mr. Badal was talking to the media persons after felicitating Bibi Amanjot Kaur Ramoowalia who had assumed the charge of her new assignment as Chairperson of the District Planning Committee here at Deputy Commissioner's office. Replying to a question regarding the chain hunger strike launched by PPCC, Mr. Badal said that the Congress party was indulging in political gimmickry just to gain cheep popularity.

He however, said that the wise people ofPunjabwould not be swayed by these ploys.   An impartial DIG level investigation was being conducted by the Punjab Police, adding he further said that the entire case would be thoroughly investigated to get at the bottom of the case and cautioned none would be spared if found guilty, who so ever influential he might be.  He further said that PPCC president Mr. Partal Singh Bajwa was trying to use Bhola to falsely implicate Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia through his political clout at the Centre by demanding CBI's inquire into the case.  Mr. Bajwa was bent hell upon to create mess so that he could save the drug lord Bhola by hook or crook, said Mr. Badal.

 

Replying to another question regarding the Delhi CM Mr. Arvind Kejriwal to hold sit in (Dharna) atDelhi, Mr. Badal said that it does not behove of any political leader of the stature of CM to lodge protest in such way.  On the question regarding the forth coming Lok Sabha elections in the country, Mr. Badal categorically said that Congress party would be decimated from the political scenario during these elections as its anti-people policies and programs have absolutely ruined the lives of the countrymen.

 

Earlier, felicitating Bibi Amanjot Kaur Ramoowalia on her charge taking ceremony as Chairperson of District Planning Committee, Mr. Badal said that  SAD had always given due representation to the females, presently there were 33 female members in the SGPG. He said that Bibi Amanjot had been appointed as the Chairperson because of her ability and competence, which would not only promote the ongoing development projects in the district but also help to initiate new projects.Mr. Balwant Singh Ramoowalia,CPS Sh. N.K.Sharma, MLA(Delhi) Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa , Chairman of District Planning Committee Patiala,Mr. Deepinder Singh,Chairperson Punjab state women commission Advocate Parmjeet kaur Landran, Chairperson Zila prishade Smt. Parmjeet Kaur Badali, Mr. Ujjager Singh Badali were also Present.
