National Voters’ Day to be observed on January 25

CHANDIGARH, JANUARY 20: The 4th National Voters’ Day with the theme of ‘Ethnical Voting’ would be observed on January 25th at District, Tehsil level and in all educational institutions of the state.

According to an official spokesperson The State level function would be organized atShivalikPublic School, Mohali to mark National Voters’ Day where Mr. Ramesh Inder Singh, Chief Information Commissioner ofPunjaband Former Chief Secretary Punjab would be the chief guest while ambassador of Election Commission and famous comedian Gurpreet Ghuggi will also perform. 

          He further said that the newly eligible youths who had attained the age of 18 years as on January 1st, 2014 would be enrolled in the voters’ list so they can cast their vote following the traditions of Indian Constitution. He said that Election Commission of India was also extend an appeal to voters to ensure the right usage of their votes to maintain moral and values of Constitution.
