CHANDIGARH: Department of Medical Education & Research, Punjab has invited online applications for 399 posts of Senior Residents in all the departments of Government Medical College Patiala and Amritsar.

Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson said that Punjab Government has recently sanctioned 327 posts for Senior Residents in addition to already existing posts, to give them teaching experience and also to strengthen and improve the functioning of both the Medical Colleges.

He said that till now 458 applications has been received out of which 172 applications are from PCMS cadre with rural service experience, 15 are from PCMS cadre with less experience, 23 are from PCMS cadre without rural service experience, 89 are from other PCMS/NRHM candidates, 18 are from other service candidates and 141 are applications are from other cadre. He said that for online submission of application candidates could log on towww.punjabmedicaleducation.org and www.pbhealth.gov.in and send scanned copy of their relevant documents on e.mail.I.D. srdrme2014@gmail.com. He said that the last date for applying online is 17/01/2014 till 5.00 P.M.
