FARIDKOT, JANUARY 13: Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister, Punjab today disclosed that performance and record development in the state would be a poll plank of SAD-BJP alliance in the ensuing general elections vis-à-vis saving country from the clutches of 'champion of scams' Congress led UPA government.
Talking to media persons here after presiding over a thanks giving gathering organized by former Congress Minister Mr. Avtar Singh Brar, who recently joined Shiromani Akali Dal and has been appointed as Chairman of PEPSU Road Transport Corporation, Mr. Badal said Congress has nothing to showcase before the SAD-BJP’s excellent performance and unprecedented development in the state, which would be the poll plank of the ruling alliance in Lok Sabha elections. He further said that besides these two issues, saving country from Congress led UPA Government, who ruined the nation badly at all front, would also be a major issue during the coming elections.
Taking a dig at former CM Captain Amarinder Singh, PPCC Chief Mr. Partap Singh Bajwa and former Congress MP Mr. Jagmeet Singh Brar, the Deputy CM said trio was big liars and did nothing for state as well as congressmen resulting in large scale exodus in the party. He said this exodus was leading towards the complete extinction of Congress party in the state, which would be gauged from the results in the parliamentary elections.
In a query regarding how they would define their performance as compare to their political rivals in Lok Sabha polls, Mr. Badal said electorates of Punjab were well-informed and wise enough as they know the right and wrong politics. He said reposing faith in the policies and program of SAD-BJP government by the people of Punjab was a living-example in this regard.
Meanwhile, Mr. Avtar Singh Brar extending thanks to Deputy CM for putting Punjab on fastest development mode. He also called the people of Punjab to oppose the dirty and muddy politics initiated by PPCC Chief Partap Singh Bajwa. He also said that even after serving Congress Party for 42 years, he and his state got nothing and people should teach a lesson to this anti-people party in Lok Sabha elections.
