CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Governor and Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, Mr. Shivraj V. Patil while interacting with 19 IAS probationers of 2013 Batch who called on him at Punjab Raj Bhawan today, asked them to do their jobs to the best of their ability and try to make a difference.
He urged the IAS probationers to administer with a human touch and implement welfare schemes in their true spirit after completing the training. He said they should not only make just use of the law and the power at their disposal but also deal with the people in a humane manner. Mr. Patil asked the probationers that how many of you have studied Indian Constitution? They replied that we all have studied as it was part of the syllabus. He asked them to study Constitution thoroughly otherwise they would likely commit mistakes while discharging their duties. He asked them not to take decisions in haste while discharging their duties.
Congratulating the IAS Probationers, Mr. Patil said that need of the hour is to understand the needs and requirements of the people, their ambitions and to adopt sympathetic and positive attitude. He said if you understand these things you would help the society in better way.

Mr. Kailash Karthik N, Mr. Jeevan B, Mr Ansh Deep Ralh, Mr. Kesavan R, Mr Shanmugarajan S., Mr. M.P. Singh, Principal Secretary to Governor, Mohd Shyian, Deputy Commissioner, UT, Chandigarh and Mr. Kashish Mittal, IAS were present on the occasion.
