Canadian sport minister Bal Gosal calls on Punjab CM

CHANDIGARH: Canadian Minister of State (Sport) Mr. Bal Gosal today called on Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal and discussed the possibilities to further strengthening of sports, trade, education, agriculture, cultural, tourism and business ties between both Punjab and Canada.


Apprising Punjab CM accompanied by Punjab NRIs Affairs Minister Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia, about the role played by Punjabis in the unprecedented development of Canada, Mr. Gosal said that the immense and appreciable contribution of Punjabis in North America cannot be overlooked.

·         CM expresses gratitude for extending cooperation towards their motherland
He said Punjabis have put several milestones in all spheres in Canada and they can give a big push to the ongoing development fury in Punjab by replicating the Canadian models in Industry, Farming, Education, Medical and Tourism sectors. Mr. Gosal also assured the CM for needful cooperation from Canadian government.  


Mr. Bal Gosal accompanied by his wife Mrs. Pawanjit Gosal was here to participate the ensuing NRI Sammelan to be hosted by Punjab Government on January 10 and 11 at Sri Anandpur Sahib and Jalandhar. Mr. Badal thanked Mr. Gosal and his wife for remaining intact with their roots and motherland. He also thanked visiting Canadian Sport Minister for showing magnanimity to motivate the Canadian immigrants to invest inPunjab in a big way being a son of soil and icon of resilient Punjabi community.
