Media advisor to Deputy CM bereaved Father–in-law passes away

CHANDIGARH, JANUARY 3: The Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal and Public Relations Minister Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia mourned the demise of renowned glass technologist Sharan Jagdish Singh Itten (80), father-in-law of Mr. Jangveer Singh, Media advisor to Deputy CM. Mr. Itten today passed away after a brief illness.
 
 
Mr Itten, who worked with several multinationals, was known as a glass technologist of international stature. He set up several glass plants on turnkey basis for various Indian companies. He also worked on honorary basis for several organizations including UNIDO. Mr Itten is survived by his daughter Gurvinder Kaur, who is the wife of Mr Jangveer Singh.


Sharing their heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family, Punjab CM, Deputy CM and Public Relations Minister prayed to the Almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the family members to bear this irreparable loss. The mortal remains of the deceased will be consigned to flames at the Sector 25 cremation ground in Chandigarh tomorrow i.e. 4 January 2014 at 11 am.  Bhog and Antim Ardas to pray for the eternal peace of the soul will be held on January 12 at the Sector 34 gurdwara in Chandigarh.
