Complete transformation of rural and urban Punjab in next 2 years-Sukhbir Badal

RAMA MANDI (BATHINDA): Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal today asserted that there would be a massive fury of development in the state and Punjab would witness unprecedented and complete transformation of rural and urban areas in next two years.

Reiterating his resolve to make Punjab a number one state in the country at all fronts, Mr. Badal accompanied by local Member Parliament Mrs. Harsimrat Kaur Badal while talking to media persons after presiding over a ‘Sangat Darshan’ here said that in coming two years there would be record progress in both urban and rural Punjab. He said Punjab had made country self-reliant on food security front, now state has also made itself self-reliant in Power besides having best road and air-connectivity and world class infrastructure in all sectors.


Answering a query regarding national political scene Mr. Badal said if Congress is willing to come with the name of Mr. Rahul Gandhi as PM Candidate then this singular step would be sufficient to drown the sinking ship of Congress Party in ensuing general elections. He said that Congress has recently faced massive debacles in states and now electorates of the country would repeat the same mandate in national polity.


Meanwhile in a query regarding NDA, Mrs. Harsimrat Kaur Badal said neither country nor states can witness development and growth without formation of NDA government. “Formation of NDA must in the interests of nation and Indians”, said Mrs. Badal adding national political stage was fully ready to decimate the Congress led UPA Government. Talking about the development projects in Bathinda district Mr. Badal said that more than 80 percent works have been completed and they have directed the administration and concerned authorities to expedite the rest ones for the facilitation of general masses.


Mr. Badal also exhorted the beneficiaries of welfare schemes launched by Punjab Government to come forward to take the full benefits of such schemes. He said the beneficiaries can avail Shagun, Scholarships for meritorious students, Atta-Daal, Pension Scheme, Ashirwad scheme etc and if they have to face any difficulty they can directly approach the head of the respective departments or Deputy Commissioners in this regard. He also assured the public that pending development of roads, streets and street lights would be completed in few months at Rama Mandi.
