Cagliari have added unsettled Brazilian midfielder Luiz Antonio to their transfer wish list as they turn to the Brazilian market for midseason reinforcement.
News of interest in the Brazil under-20 midfielder comes days after the Italian Serie A club made a formal bid for Antonio's Flamengo teammate Adryan, Xinhua reported.
According to Brazilian daily O Globo, Cagliari are seeking a replacement for Belgium international Radja Nainggolan, who is expected to leave the club.
The move would be aided by an escalating row between Luiz Antonio and Flamengo over the club's alleged missed salary payments.
The 22-year-old has sought legal action to rescind his contract with the Rio de Janeiro club.
