New Delhi, Dec 31

 English Premier League club West Bromwich Albion are heading to India as part of their foundation programme, in association with Youth Football International (YFI), to scout, train and develop talent here.

Their scouting team will conduct a talent hunt here in the national capital Jan 18 at the Ambedkar Stadium followed by training and monitoring of the selected lot at the American Embassy School from Jan 19-25.

The selected kids would not only be an integral part of the club’s consistent monitoring programme but will be entitled for benefits ranging from scholarship in the YFI-West Bromwich Albion Academy along with other club merchandise.

The club will also visit a few schools, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO) and slums to give the underprivileged and less fortunate an European experience and pick a few boys that could hold the future of the country’s football scene.
