122nd Annual Convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Inaugurated

Qadian---   The 122nd annual convention(Jalsa Salana) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community Qadian, India, began here with the unfurling of the community’s flag followed by the  recitation of the Holy Quran at 10 am this morning at Ahmadiyya Muslim Ground .

The first session of the convention was chaired by Maulana Muhammad Inam Ghaori( the chief secretary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community India). He said that the foundation of this very convention was laid down by Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian, the founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community, in 1891 A.D. He further said that the delegates should spend these three days of the convention in worship and remembrance of Almighty Allah. He motivated the participants of this unique and blessed gathering that apart from their spiritual development they should endeavor to play their part in the development of their country as well.

On the 1st day, addressing the gathering, Maulana Munir Ahmad Khadim, the secretary of religious training, said that we find innumerable proofs of the existence of the Almighty Allah and tens of thousands of signs of His recognition. The founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community drew attention of the people towards eight ways that help people to recognize and have union with the Almighty Allah.

Addressing the delegates , Maulana Hameed Kausar, described the salient features of the character of the Holy prophet (P.B.U.H).He said that the peace treaty at Hudabiyya is a great example of the peace loving nature of the Holy Prophet(P.B.U.H).He accepted all the unfavorable  conditions laid by his enemies only seeking peace and harmony. He was truly peace and love personified.

The first session of the convention was attended by more than 20,000 people from all over the world. Hundreds of volunteers discharged their respective duties efficiently serving the guests.
