Chandigarh: The Punjab Education department has made comprehensive arrangements for Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) slated for June 9, in which more than 2 lac candidates would appear at 391 centers set up throughout the state.

Disclosing this here today, the Punjab Education Minister Mr. Sikander Singh Maluka informed that the responsibility for conducting this test has been entrusted to SCERT and 36 nodal centers have been set up at district as well as at some subdivisions level to facilitate the candidates. He said that total 2, 07,214 candidates would appear for these tests
He said that the timings for the first and second tests would be from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm and 2.00 pm to 4.30 pm respectively. The differently abled students would get an additional time of 20 minutes for each paper. A special center has been set up for such candidates at each nodal center.
The Education Minister further informed that the department was committed to conduct this test in a total transparent manner and adequate number of flying squads has also been constituted. Besides this, the Deputy Commissioners have also been asked to monitor this whole exercises. He has already directed for videography of each center. He cautioned the Circle and District Education officers against any complacency and asked them to ensure required facilities for the candidates.
