CHANDIGARH: President of Baba Makhan Shah Lobana Foundation, Mr Pritam Singh Narangpur along with management today honored international players who belonged to Lobana Community and played in 4th World Kabbadi Cup tournament organized by Punjab Government recently.
Presenting mementoes and shawals to all the players and coaches, Mr Narangpur said that theplayers Mr. Vicky Ghotra raider of Canada team, Mr Gurpreet Singh Multani and Mr Gagandeep Ghotra Catchers of the team played well and the lobana community feel proud as the players has brought name of the Lobana community on the world Kabbadi map.
Coach of Indian Kabbadi team Mr Harpreet Singh Baba and coach of Canada Kabbadi team Mr Resham Singh Brar were also honored on the occasion. President of the foundation motivated the players and appealed to the younger generation of the Lobana community to take active part in sports. He said these International players were source of inspiration for the generations to come.
Mr Harjit Singh Ghotra father of Vicky Ghotra thanked the management of Baba Makhan Shah Lobana Foundation for honouring the players.
Other prominent members of Baba Makhan Shah Lobana Foundation who were present on the occasion included Mr Amrik Singh Multani,Gen Secretary, Mr Sardara Singh Er, Retd. Mr Jagtar Singh Multani former Minister S Jagir Singh Lalia and Mr Manjit Singh Dasuya, Akali Dal USA.
