Prominent Singer Ms. Pooja Joins BJP Party At Chandigarh

Chandigarh: Famous Punjabi Folk Singer Ms. Pooja today joined BJP in Chandigarh. Punjab State BJP Party Unit President Kamal Sharma and other senior leaders welcomed her.

 

Though denied by both Kamal Sharma & Pooja yet there are strong rumors that she can contest next Lok Sabha elections from the reserved constituency of Hoshiarpur. In a well attended press conference at the Chandigarh BJP headquarter, Kamal Sharma made an announcement about the joining of Ms. Pooja to the party fold. 

 

On the occasion, Ms. Pooja said that she is greatly impressed with the policies and programmes of BJP and the personality of Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. She said that she will focus her attention for the welfare of Women and Children especially against the female feticide. She said that singing is her profession and will continue with it along with responsibilities given by the party.

 


Meanwhile, Kamal Sharma said that Ms. Pooja joined the BJP unconditionally and at the moment there is no proposal to field her as a candidate from Hoshiarpur. He said that the decision of giving ticket to any leader is to be done by the High Command at an appropriate time. Senior BJP leaders were present on the occasion included Cabinet Minister Chunni Lal Bhagat, Madan Mohan Mittal, Balramjit Dass Tandon, K. D. Bhandari, Deputy Speaker Dinesh Babbu, Mohit Gupta, Ashwanit Kumar and Harjit Singh.
