Rio de Janeiro: Napoli and Chile international forward Eduardo Vargas is poised to join Brazilian club Santos.
Vargas is first due to rejoin the Italian club after ending his season-long loan at Gremio, reported Xinhua.
According to Brazilian football website Sambafoot, Napoli have already agreed to terms for the 24-year-old to join Santos in January.
The move would provide a double attacking coup for Santos, who earlier in the week signed Brazil striker Leandro Damiao from Gremio's Porto Alegre rivals Internacional.
Vargas, who joined Napoli from Universidad de Chile in December 2011, this year scored six goals from 18 matches in the Campeonato Brasileiro.
