Punjab Government constitutes a 15 member committee to monitor the quality education in the residency schools

Chandigarh: The Punjab Government has constituted a 15 member committee to manage six residential senior secondary schools in the state.

 

Disclosing this here today, an official spokesman of the education department said that the newly constituted committee under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Punjab, the Education Minister In-charge higher and school education, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Education, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Punjab, Principal Secretaries of School Education, Higher Education, Finance and Technical Education would be the members of the committee.

 

He further said that Director General School Education (DGSE), DPI (SE), Deputy Commissioners of the concerned districts, project director, five educationists and any other person who may be invited as a special invitee would also the member of this committee. He also said that Punjab Government was also committed to provide quality education to the students and the committee would monitor the overall management of the institutions meant for providing education for the poor and meritorious students ofPunjab.
