CHANDIGARH: A high level 22 member delegation led by Mr. Bhupendra Sinha Chudasama, Minister for education, Government of Gujarat, today called on Punjab Governor and Administrator, UT, Chandigarh, Mr. Shivraj V. Patil at Punjab Raj Bhavan.
While interacting, Mr. Bhupendra Sinha apprised Mr. Patil that under ‘Sadakal Gujarat’ Programme, the statue of unity is going to be installed in the memory of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, which would be the tallest statue in the world to pay a rich tribute to this great architect of modern and unitedIndia.
Gujarat Minister has also shown designs of various statues which was highly appreciated by the Punjab Governor. Extending good wishes and congratulating the delegation for this initiative, Mr. Patil said that the statue should be well designed in all respects so that it could last for hundreds of years, for the generations to come. Prominent amongst others who were present on the occasion included Mr. M.P. Singh, Principal Secretary to Governor, Mr. Vipin Mitra, Principal Secretary Tourism, Gujarat, Mr. Atul Kumar IPS, Mr. Maninder Pawar, IPS, Mr. Dinesh Kumar, IFS and Mr. K.S. Randhawa, IFS.
