ISB Mohali: The Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal expressing immense satisfaction for holding extremely successful Punjab’s maiden Progressive Punjab Investors Summit-2013 today said that MoUs worth Rs 65000 crore have been signed with 117 international and national business houses which would provide employment to more than 3 lakh youth in the state.
Addressing the media persons on the concluding day of Investors Summit-2013 Mr. Badal accompanied by Industry Minister Mr. Madan Mohan Mittal said within four-six months physical works would be started on these MoUs since government have been appointed teams to assist the business houses and provide them lands according to their needs.

Mr. Badal has also declared that Punjab Government would establish three world-class Convention Centers at Mohali, Ludhiana and Amritsar with a seating capacity of 2500 persons. He said that next Investment Summit would be held at Ludhiana on December 9-10, 2014, where International Business Captains would also participate. He also said that Punjab Government would conduct monthly review meetings to implement these projects in short period.
On being asked the response of investors, Mr. Badal said that it was extremely successfulSummit. He said that where major Industrial Captains Signed MoUs with Punjab investing more than Rs 65000 crore a Taiwanese Company has announced to shift their Headquarters from Noida to Mohali, which is being emerged as IT Hub of the Nation. Replying to a question regarding the functioning of Punjab Bureau of Investment Promotion, Mr Badal said that it has already started functioning. Mr. Badal also informed that to cater the land needs of Industry, Punjab has available land in Mohali and Ludhiana, besides that Punjab would also establish a land bank of 10000 acre.
Referring to the status of Power scenario in the Punjab, Mr Badal said that Punjab has become the first power surplus state in the country and assured that uninterrupted power supply would be provided the industry and domestic sector besides slashing the power tariffs in the state. On being asked about “no reaction” from the Congress side Mr Badal said the “party is still in the state of mourning both after crushing defeat and the grand success of the investors meet”. He said that this initiative of Punjab Government was not for getting political mileage but for the holistic and world class futuristic development of Punjabso that our state could shine on the world industrial map. He also made it clear that the investors summit was not planned keeping in view the general elections as Punjab Government has long term planning to make Punjab an industrial hub in next decade.
Regarding the question of Infosys campus to be set up in Mohali, Mr Badal said that necessary file work is going on and company would set up a campus having the capacity of 25000 employees. He also informed that all villages in the state to be attached with 4G service within the next six months by the Reliance. When asked about the new title “carry on jatta” by the Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal he proudly said that it was certainly the “master stroke” of Chief Minister.
