Prepare and motivate students to join Police services, Para military forces along with defense services-Punjab Governor

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Governor and Administrator, Union Territory, Mr. Shivraj V. Patil, who is also the Chairman of the Board of Governors, asked the Headmaster of Punjab Public school Nabha to impart required training and coaching to students and prepare them for Police Services, Para military forces along with Defense Services as there is more opportunity of employment in this sector.
Presiding over the meeting of Board of Governors of The Punjab Public School, Nabha, held here today, Mr. Patil, reviewed the activities, achievements and future programmes of the school.


Appreciating for introducing modern system of education, Mr. Patil said that this system of recorded lectures will help in teaching and learning in the School. He said that it will be proved easy for the students to understand the subject much better with this technology. He also asked to prepare lecture as per the syllabus and share it with other schools.


As informed by the Headmaster that second grant of Rs. 50 lakh given by the Punjab Chief Minister, Mr. Parkash Singh Badal for the construction of girl’s hostel was also received by the school management, was highly appreciated by the Punjab Governor.
Mr. Patil insisted that the school should go for the electronic technology rather than the optical fiber technology which is outdated. He suggested if school is going for intranet and internet this technology will be proved very beneficial. He also appreciated the installation of new furniture in the School sponsored by Mr. Pawan Munjal, CEO, and MD of Hero Moto Corp. His initiative of taking the renovation of the flooring of the class rooms was also acknowledged.
 
 
 
Congratulating the Headmaster Mr. Jagpreet Singh for getting selected for prestigious the Jury of the Derozio Award for education and human enrichment which is going to be awarded by the Council of the Indian School Certificate Examination in a award ceremony going to be held at Bangalore on January 8, 2014.
 
 
Prominent amongst others who attended the meeting included, Punjab Chief Secretary, Mr. Rakesh Singh, Mr. MP Singh Principal Secretary to Governor Punjab, Mr. K.N. Singh, Lt. Gen. T.K. Sapru, Mr. Kanwar Sandhu, Mr. Jagpreet Singh, Head Master of the School and other Board of Governors.
