KINGSTON, Ontario, November 11, 2013 –

Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) wishes to advise motorists of upcoming overnight closures on the LaSalle Causeway, from November 12 to 14, between 12:01 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. The Causeway will remain open to emergency vehicles and pedestrians. Marine traffic will not be affected.

These closures are required to accommodate a series of precise measurements of the lift bridge in various lift positions. These closures were rescheduled due to high winds experienced November 4 to 8 during the third round of measurements. The schedule may change due to inclement weather or logistical requirements.

Safety is a top priority for PWGSC and we are committed to ensuring the continued integrity of the bridges we manage. We apologize for any inconvenience these closures may cause and thank everyone for their understanding.
