For ten years, he has followed and rooted for Sachin Tendulkar at various cricket grounds across the world. Sudhir Kumar has one last wish: a triple century from the master's blade.
Thirty-year-old Kumar has been a familiar figure- holding aloft a national flag, his body painted in tri-colour with Tendulkar's name at the back - in the stands of cricket grounds hosting the Indian team since 2003.
"My biggest moment came after India won the 2011 World Cup. Sachin invited me to the dressing room, to be a part of the celebrations. Then he also allowed me to lift the trophy," said an elated Kumar.
Having watched at least 20 Tests and 173 One Day Internationals of the Indian team, courtesy tickets given by the players, Kumar is yet to come to terms with Tendulkar's impending retirement.
"I am finding it very difficult to think that the master won't play any more," he said at the Eden Gardens gates.
"My prayer to my master is that he should score a triple hundred," he added.
