Calgary: The leader of a Calgary taxi aggregation is not precluding an alternate wildcat strike after Associated Cab dropped him and a partner from its lists of drivers.

Rupinder Gill, president of the Calgary Cab Drivers Society, is confronting claims that he attacked Associated Cab president Roger Richard throughout a strike at the landing strip without much fanfare.

Gill said the cases are false and that he plans to soon meet individual taxicab drivers to examine a reaction to his "terminating."

"He is simply making a false tale about me," Gill said of Richard.

Richard has held up a formal grumbling against Gill with Livery Transport Services, the taxi authorizing power, yet has not taken the charges to police.

Richard said the dust-up began when he asked to meet with driver Harjit Singh Kalkat on Wednesday in the ballpark of a protest he had raised. Richard said Kalkat declined to meet and rather formed a wildcat strike at the airstrip.

The point when Richard approached Kalkat, he said Gill punched him in the midsection. He said he called both drivers into his office on Thursday and let them know they might no more extended work for Associated Cab.

"I'm 68 years of age this month. I've got a heart issue, and he punched me in the upper midsection," Richard asserted. "It is highly unlikely that is worthy."

Gill said the drivers accepted that Richard was set to fire Kalkat on Wednesday and formed the exhibition. He didn't preclude an alternate wildcat strike in challenge of the firings.

In August, something like 200 Associated Cab drivers arranged a strike at the Calgary hangar after Associated Cab terminated Gill in a differentiate occurrence. Gill asserted he was let go on the grounds that he's a straightforward authority of working conditions for drivers.

Hours into the August strike, authorities with the airfield power, the taxi organization and an aggregation of drivers arrived at an assention, and Gill was reinstated.
