Kobe (Japan), Sep 24 (IANS) Chinese paddler Liu Shiwen clinched her third women's table tennis World Cup after beating teammate Wu Yang in four sets.
The world No.1 ranked player triumphed 11-3, 11-7, 11-7, 11-2 Monday, reports Xinhua.
She won the World Cup in Guangzhou in 2009 and in Huangshi one year ago.
"Wu Yang and I are training partners, so we are familiar with each other's tactics," Liu said.
"Wu Yang is very strong. Maybe I am more experienced than her since it is the third time for me to compete in the World Cup, but it is Wu Yang's debut show."
Wu said she was overwhelmed by Liu both in technique and mentality.
"I hope in the future I can improve my attack tactics and serve more threatening shots," said Wu.
Meanwhile, Singapore's Feng Tianwei secured the third place after overcoming Hong Kong veteran Jiang Huajun in 11-6, 13-11, 12-10, 11-2.
