Pakistan to start low-cost hydro power projects

Islamabad, Sep 21 (IANS) Pakistan government has said it will execute low cost hydro power projects on priority basis to overcome energy crisis, Online news agency reported.

Speaking at a meeting in Lahore, Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali directed authorities of the Water and Power Development Authority, a government-owned public utility maintaining power and water in Pakistan, to complete two power projects by this October.

The visiting minister was also briefed about the progress of ongoing hydro hydro projects in the country.
