Man faces charges of attempted murder after shooting at Red Deer gas station

Edmonton: A Red Deer man has been accused of various offences, incorporating endeavored homicide, after a shooting at a corner store a week ago.

 

Around 11:20 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, a man entered the Fas Gas found in West Park, strolled up to the agent and supposedly hauled out a sawed-off shotgun, police said.

 

The point when the assistant set cash on the counter, the suspect supposedly discharged his firearm, police said. RCMP say the representative was shot in the face and hand.

 

The suspect left the scene, and on Friday evening a man transformed himself into the Blackfalds RCMP Detachment where he was captured.

 

RCMP say 30-year-old Jeffrey Lyle Geary of Red Deer has been accused of five weapons-identified offences incorporating Attempted Murder, Robbery with a Prohibited Firearm, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Possession of a stacked Prohibited Firearm, and Possession of a Stolen denied Firearm.

 

Geary has been taken into authority and is booked to show up in Red Deer Provincial Court on Monday morning.
