New Delhi, Sep 9

Four Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leaders in Delhi including its former state president Ramvir Singh Bidhuri will be joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Tuesday.

Bidhuri along with four of the seven NCP councilors - Dharamveer Awana, Timsy Kasana and Phholkali Narwaal - will formally join the BJP in the presence of BJP president Rajnath Singh and in-charge for Delhi elections Nitin Gadkari, a BJP leader said.

The state unit of the Congress had Friday declared that Bidhuri had formally joined their party along with four others including Punjabi pop singer Daler Mehndi.

"There is complete disenchantment among the masses with the Congress. This sentiment is reflected by the fact that representatives of people are joining the BJP," said BJP Delhi unit president Vijay Goel.

Elections to the Delhi assembly are scheduled in November.

According to the ABP News-Nielsen Mood of the Nation survey Thursday, the BJP is likely to get 32 of the 70 assembly seats while the ruling Congress will win 27 seats.
