Mumbai: After acting in suspense drama "Chehra" and anchoring reality shows like "Wheel Ghar Ghar Mein" and "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa", actor Vipul Roy is happy with his comic role in comedy show "F.I.R".
He will essay the role of Senior Inspector Bhola Pandit who has been transferred to the town of Rawanpur (Uttar Pradesh).
"I've been eagerly waiting for the right opportunity to try my hand at comedy and when an offer from 'F.I.R' came knocking on my door, I simply couldn't resist," Vipul said in a statement.
"Everything about the show is a hit, the characters, the comic timing as well as the story line. In fact, it is a hit with my own family. I am extremely proud to be associated with 'F.I.R'. The show has garnered tremendous fan following and so has the cast and I'm extremely excited to start shooting with them," he added.
Vipul's entry in the show will see him being misunderstood as a thug by Inspector Chandramukhi Chautala, essayed by actress Kavita Kaushik, only to later discover that he is a senior Inspector appointed in her own police station. He will enter the show Sep 17 on SAB TV.
Earlier, the male lead was played by actor Aamir Ali.
