Prosecutors want to increase the sentence for a Canadian man with alleged links to terrorism.
According to local media reports, Mauritian officials are looking to extend 24-year-old Aaron Yoon's sentence to 10 years.
Yoon has served roughly a year of a two-year prison sentence after he was convicted of having ties to a terrorist group and posing a danger to national security, media reports state.
An anonymous official told local media the new charges come from Yoon's connection to two other London, Ont., men who were involved in a terror attack on an Algerian gas plant.
The three men attended the same high school. (The Toronto Sun)
