With the festive season on, it's time to splurge on some of women's 'best friends' - semi-precious jewellery, belts, bags and apparel. No need to hop around from one store to another as an exhibition dedicated to all this and more is here.

'My Best Friend and Me 2013', organised by Dipali Sarin and Sunayana Chibba started here Friday.

Unlike the first edition of the exhibition, the second one goes beyond fashion accessories. The two-day show is not only for fans of cocktail earrings, statement neck pieces, bracelets and handbags, but also for clothes and home accessories.

"The first edition, held in March 2013, was only on fashion accessories as there is increase in demand for them. This time we have limited edition of clothes and home accessories too. Some women want to look good and some want to live in a fashionable house," Sarin told IANS.

The products range between Rs.500 and Rs.50,000. The pieces that are gold plated or semi-precious come under high-end category as they don't easily tarnish.

Some of the participants are Vinita Pittie from Hyderabad, Rose Tree and Payal Sen from New Delhi, and Malaga from Mumbai.

The organisers want to explore Ludhiana and Chandigarh too.
