New Delhi, July 31: Two months after the arrest of the three IPL players, the Special Cell of the Delhi Police has now filed a chargesheet in the IPL spot-fixing case. The 5,000-page document claims that underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and Chhota Shakeel were running the betting and spot-fixing scam.

The Delhi Police's dramatic arrest of the three players including test discard S Sreesanth established what was only spoken in whispers so far that spot-fixing in IPL is real. The Delhi Police claimed that, reading out transcripts of conversations between bookies and players.

The chargesheet filed on Tuesday says that Dawood Ibramhim is the fountainhead of the entire betting syndicate which spot-fixes the IPL games and that he operates through his operative Javed Chuttani based in Dubai. The chargesheet says that D-Company's India contact was through bookies Tinku Mandi and Ramesh Vyas.
